Nazir Akram
DIRECTOR
The Tingana Collection was birthed from our love for the Kruger and the desire to fill a gap in the market for lodges that offer comfortable luxury with a personal touch. We envision the Tingana Collection as a successful international brand that provides value to guests from all over the world. We achieve this by empowering all staff with the necessary training, experience and wisdom they need to perform at their personal best. Lastly, my hope is for each guest to feel like they are a part of the family. At the end of each stay, guests must feel like they've left a home that they want to come back to. We hold our guests in high esteem.

My passion for the Kruger, starting from the age of 2, is what connected me with the other directors. As one of the founding directors, we sought to build world-class destinations for local and international tourists who share our passion for wildlife and luxury experiences with a personal feel. Anyone can book a destination, but the experience is what sets the destinations apart. As the Tingana Collection, acknowledge the communities that we operate in, which is why we’ve been running community empowerment projects (Name) for the past 4-5 years. From suppliers to staff, we always start within the community first. At the end of the day, a 5 star, authentic African experience that makes you feel at home is what we aim for, everyday.
Azhar Suliman

As with the other founding directors, I grew up visiting the Kruger National Park very often and developed a strong love and passion for the bush over the years. This motivated my contribution to the overall vision for the Tingana Collection. We aim to provide the ultimate getaways for our guests to create memories that they will cherish for a lifetime. Our collection of lodges provides destinations of comfort with a taste of luxury. You’ll want them as your destination of choice whenever you visit the Kruger National Park.

OPERATIONS AND MARKETING DIRECTOR
The Tingana Collection handpicked me to be a part of the team to help elevate it to the next level. As a recent addition to the team, my experience lies within the various interactions with guests during previous safaris that I have hosted. Understanding what many guests need, I realized that the Tingana Collection was on the right track. Luxury destinations with the topmost service are desired by many. The Tingana Collection of lodges provides those ideal stays, perfect for peace and tranquility after a sunny and eventful game drive in the Kruger, hosted by Zali Safari. They provide the comfort to relax, unwind and soak up the experience. The lodges offer luxury to all sets of local and international clientele, which was another motivation to be a part of this brand. I envisage the Tingana Collection of lodges to be a leading brand that keeps improving its offering to guests.

FINANCIAL MANAGER
The bush and it’s appeal are very infectious; that is how I was lured into being a part of the Collection. As the FInancial Manager, I diligently manage the financial affairs, with key focus on providing the strategic info required to analyze the financial performance of each division. The vision for the Tingana Collection is to grow it into a worldwide brand known as the ultimate luxury safari accommodation and experiences while providing excellent value to stakeholders.

A chartered accountant by profession and partner at the firm, Akram & Peer CA (SA), he also serves as a director of A & P Holdings (Pty) Ltd.
Nazir is a religious, family man who has recently developed a passion for wildlife as well as golf. He loves the administrative arena of business and attends to all legal and statutory matters.
Safraaz Suliman
FOUNDING DIRECTOR
A businessman with a larger than life personality with a never say die attitude. His strength is to network and build relationships with people from all walks of life. His focus areas are marketing and community relationship management.
Safraaz is a religious, family man. He has the distinction of representing South Africa in golf at U23 level and he has taken some unique wildlife pictures which have earned him a reputation in the wildlife community as an accomplished wildlife photographer.

A chartered accountant by profession and managing partner at the firm, Akram & Peer CA (SA), he also serves as a director of A & P Holdings (Pty) Ltd. His focus area is financial and stakeholder relationship management.
Haroun is a religious, family man who has a passion for wildlife, breeding Arabian horses, cattle farming and golf.
Azhar Suliman

A quantity surveyor by profession, as well as a young businessman, his quiet demeanour does not reveal his deep thinking approach to business. His focus areas are HR and infrastructure.
He also has the distinction of representing South Africa in golf at various levels and has passion for wildlife and fishing.

Our Origins
Named after the mighty leopard, Tingana (which means shy), our collection of luxury lodges operates on the symbolic nature of the leopard. The leopard, in many African cultures, symbolizes nobility, honour and authenticity, which are some of the values that matter most to us as a collection.
